Performance Training: Group Session

What is Performance Training?

Performance Training is a comprehensive program designed to support youth athletes in three critical areas:

  • Physical Health

  • Nutrition

  • Mental Health

By combining in-person workouts with virtual support, this program delivers a personalized 1-on-1 coaching experience to help each athlete reach their full potential.

Program Overview

Youth athletes participate in a 40-minute weekly workout session with a VP instructor. These tailored sessions focus on the specific areas each athlete needs to develop, including:

  • Body Strength

  • Psychomotor Skills (e.g., jumping, running)

  • Coordination (e.g., balance, rhythm, multi-movement tasks)

  • SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness)

  • Recovery and Injury Prevention

As a supplemental program to school or club sports, these sessions are kept small to ensure close, personalized attention. During workouts, athletes will wear heart monitors to monitor their progress, tracking metrics like:

  • Steps

  • Miles

  • Heart Rate

Beyond the Workout

Each athlete in the program will receive a personalized Athlete Profile created by their VP instructor. This profile serves as a roadmap for the athlete's progress and goals in physical health, nutrition, and mental well-being.

Throughout the week, VP instructors will:

  • Share resources and tools to help athletes stay on track.

  • Provide ongoing support to ensure steady progress.

  • Connect regularly with athletes to adjust their training plans as needed.

Performance Training is designed not only to enhance athletic performance but also to empower youth athletes with the tools and confidence to excel in all aspects of their lives.
